– Do you have a prescription for your device from an MD, DPM, PA, or DO?
As a Medicare provider, Master’s Orthotics and Prosthetics cannot provide services without a prescription, even for non-Medicare clients.
– Do you know if your prescription is for a custom device?
Custom devices usually require an appointment. If you don’t know if your device is custom, feel free to call our office at (360) 307-7005 to inquire.
– Is your insurance current? Does it cover the devices on your prescription? Is Master’s part of your insurance provider network?
While Master’s will verify your insurance information, it never hurts to make sure you have everything in place before you come.
– Will the device require a change of clothing or shoes?
Some devices, like knee braces or compression garments, might require access to your lower limbs which interfere with tight pants or jeans. Shoe modifications might require you to leave the shoe with us, and you’ll want something to wear home.
